Good news from Ohio Cardinal Conference headquarters. No, I haven't been named official OCC blogger, this has to do with OCC post-season volleyball awards. Several Red Riders made the list and one senior Red Rider checks in at the top of the list.
Orrville senior (and Austin Peay University commit) Hillary Plybon has been named the OCC Offensive Player of the Year.
Fellow senior Lauren Mastroine and junior Danae Stauffer were named to the 1st team, sophomore Hannah Plybon was named to the 2nd Team, and seniors Meg Sullivan and Tara Besancon received Honorable Mention.
Mansfield Madison's Nikki Holmes was named the Defensive Player of the Year and Ram coach Jen Lauber was named Coach of the Year.
Congrats to all and to the Red Riders on the list.

How about more about the freshman volleyball team?? After all, they are the future....They had a great season, only losing 1game all year, and finishing 2nd in the tournament last saturday. Great season lady riders!!!!!
They were mentioned in the most recent OrrViews...but without someone sending me info..it's tough to write about anything below the varsity level...for any sport. It's not a slight on volleyball. Feel free to send in results and info and I'd be glad to post it.
