Only 64 teams in Ohio are preparing for a game this week, 16 in Division III....the Orrville Red Riders being one of them. Before looking closer at Cleveland Central Catholic and the other matchup in Region 9, let's take a look at the other 12 teams left standing.
Region 10
Archbold vs Plymouth - Plymouth s 23-0 and led by senior Brook Turson, who just crossed 2,000 career points. Plymouth was part of the WQKT Smitty Classic this past December.
Lima CC vs Centerburg - Lima CC may be the hottest team in the state, knocking off top-seed Liberty Benton and most recently, the Titans of Ottawa-Glandof.
My Pick: Lima CC defeats Plymouth in regional final.
Region 11
Chesapeake vs Garaway - The Chesapeake are 18-4 and fresh off a win over 1 seed Zane Trace. The Pirates coasted into the regionals with a 75-51 win over Barnesville.
Ironton vs Sardinia Eastern - A matchup of star players will pit Tyler Knabb of Sardinia against Tim Kochendoerfer of Ironton.
My Pick: Garaway over Ironton.
Region 12
Anna vs Bishop Ready - Anna has won 3 straight district titles and is 22-2 on the season. Ready has played a terribly tough schedule and is battle tested.
Cincinnati Taft vs Middletown Madison - Taft is my pick to win the DIII title. They've scored 90+ in 3 of their 4 tourney games. Madison is undefeated (girls team too) and will provide stiff competition.
My Pick: Taft over Ready
