My quick rundown of how I think the OCC post-season awards should be doled out. Check back after they're announced to compare notes.
Player of the Year - Jacob Bolyard, Orrville. Right around 20 ppg over the past 2 seasons. Should've won it last year. Led league in steals, 9th in assists. Easily the most well-rounded resume in the league.
Coach of the Year - Craig Martin, Wooster. Lost 6 of last 8 OCC games last season (finished 6-8). Went 10-4 and tied for 2nd place this year.
Got a feeling Senior's Effie James might get this one...and that's fair. It could go either way, but Martin is my pick.
All-OCC
1st Team - Zach Wasson (ORR), Delvonta Cheathem (MAD), Darrin Harris (MANS), Logan Slavinski (CF), Alex LaLonde (WOO)
2nd Team - Grant Fairhurst (ASH), Alex Kacere (WOO), Jalen Watts (MANS), Jason Guth (LEX), John Thompson (CF)
Picking Lexington's Guth (10.4 ppg, 6.5 rpg, 1.9 apg) over teammates Courtney Avery (10.8 ppg, 2.9 apg, 1.8 rpg) and Mike Augustine (10.6 ppg, 3.3 rpg, 1 apg) was tough.
Wouldn't be surprised to see Avery get the nod on name recognition.
That's it...consider yourself honored.

I would switch Lalonde with Fairhurst. I just think Fairhurst had a better year.
you have Bolyard as PLOY but not listed as 1st team, is it just to be understood ?
I've seen it both ways...but the way the OCC does it, the Player of the year is NOT included in the first team. Like in football, Chase Hoobler was the Def. POY, but not listed on the 1st team.
It is understood, but i guess player of the year trumps everything else.
