Riders beat Clear Fork (again).....Bring on the Comets.

That was about as anticlimactic as a playoff game can be, wasn't it?. The Riders dispatched of Clear Fork for the 2nd time in 3 weeks, this time by a 28-7 score to advance to round 2 of the state playoffs. It was their 24th playoff win in school history, and 13th playoff win by 21 points or more.

Awaiting the Red Riders in Round 2 is the Genoa Area Comets. The game will be played at Ashland Community Stadium.
Genoa will bring a perfect 11-0 record into the game, and an almost perfect season on the defensive side of the ball, having allowed only 31 points ALL YEAR!!  They will certainly be the heavy favorite, but the Riders have faced "unbeatable" teams in the playoffs before (Wauseon in '94 and Ursuline in '98) and have shocked the world.  They'll get their chance in a few short days.
